Lot 1150: A Vintage Pine Bookcase on Chest of Four Drawers
A vintage pine bookcase on chest of four drawers, constructed from solid pine with a honey-toned finish. This two-part piece consists of an open shelving upper section and a chest of drawers base. The upper section features two fixed shelves and a top shelf, the latter surmounted by a shaped top rail over a decorative diagonal lattice-work gallery. The sides are defined by a scrolled profile that tapers towards the top. The lower section comprises a chest of four full-width drawers, each with a moulded front and fitted with a pair of turned wooden knob handles. The piece stands on a flush base. A pink circular adhesive tag on the upper gallery is marked 32, and a blue rectangular tag on the top surface of the chest section is marked 1150.

Condition report:
The piece is in good used condition. There are minor surface scratches, small indentations, and light scuffs throughout, consistent with age and domestic use (photo 1). A small white mark is visible on the exterior of the upper left side panel (photo 3). The pine shows natural grain variations and small knots typical of the material. All drawers appear to be present and functional with original handles (photo 2).
