Lot 701: A Collection of Vintage Floral Earthenware and Sage Green Jasperware Table Accessories
A collection of vintage floral earthenware and sage green jasperware table accessories, comprising a variety of decorative and functional pieces. The group includes a pair of tall earthenware candlesticks decorated with hand-painted floral motifs in shades of pink, blue, and yellow on a cream ground. Two circular sage green jasperware pin dishes feature white bas-relief classical scenes within borders of oak leaves and acorns. A set of eleven earthenware napkin rings includes five examples bearing a printed mark to the interior reading Little Sweetheart, alongside six rings with orange and yellow floral designs. Further ceramic items include a heart-shaped lidded trinket box, a small circular dish with gilt rims, and a globular sugar sifter transfer-printed with autumn fruit. An art glass sculpture of wedge form features a deep blue core encased in clear glass. Sundries include an opened box of Galacolor tea lights and a pack of church taper advent candles bearing adhesive labels reading CORNISH GOODIES £2.99 and PRESINGOL BARNS SALE £1.49.
Condition report:
The pair of candlesticks exhibit significant and widespread glaze crazing across the entire surface (photo 1). The jasperware pin dishes show minor surface marks and light dust accumulation consistent with age (photo 1). The cardboard packaging for the tea lights is torn and heavily damaged (photo 1). All other ceramic and glass pieces appear to be in good overall condition without visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
