Lot 724: Two Vintage Kodak and Wide Pic Plastic Cameras with Cases
Two vintage Kodak and Wide Pic plastic cameras with cases, comprising a British-made 126 cartridge film Instamatic and a 35mm panoramic novelty camera. The Kodak Instamatic 32 features a grey faceplate and black textured moulded plastic body, printed with the text INSTAMATIC 32, CAMERA, and Kodak, and is further marked MADE IN ENGLAND at the base of the faceplate. It is equipped with a fixed-focus lens and is housed within its original black textured hard-plastic flip-open carrying case with a black vinyl wrist strap. The Wide Pic Panorama camera is finished in matte black plastic and bears the printed marks PANORAMA, Wide Pic, PANORAMIC LENS, and Focus Free. It features a recessed lens and a manual film advance wheel on the top plate, with a front slider switch marked with solid and hollow white circle indicators. This camera is accompanied by a soft black vinyl carrying case with a hook-and-loop closure and a thin black fabric wrist strap.
Condition report:
Both cameras exhibit surface dust and light handling scuffs across the plastic bodies (Photos 1, 2). The Kodak lens and viewfinder are clear of significant obstructions, though surface lint is present (Photo 3). The Wide Pic camera shows visible lint and dust on the matte finish (Photo 2). Both items appear mechanically intact with functional shutter buttons and advance wheels, but are untested for photographic light-tightness or internal functionality. The included cases show minor edge wear and light scuffing but remain in functional condition (Photo 1).
