Lot 745: A Pair of Vintage Floral Porcelain Lidded Vegetable Dishes
A pair of vintage floral porcelain lidded vegetable dishes of circular form. Each vessel features twin scrolling handles accented with gilt lines, supporting a domed lid with a matching globular finial finished with a gold tip. The exterior surfaces are decorated with a transfer-printed floral pattern of delicate blue bell-shaped flowers on trailing green stems with small yellow highlights. The rims of both the dishes and the lids are finished with a fine gilt border. The bases of the dishes are plain white and show no evidence of printed manufacturer marks, factory stamps, or pattern names. The porcelain body is bright white with a smooth, glazed finish throughout the interior and exterior.
Condition report:
The dishes appear to be in good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface wear (photos 1 and 2). The gilt decoration remains largely intact on the rims, handles, and finials. The underside of the base is clean and free from damage (photo 3).
