Lot 785: Vintage WMF Presto Commercial Bean-to-Cup Espresso Machine
Vintage WMF Presto commercial bean-to-cup espresso machine, designed for professional catering and hospitality environments. The unit features a black glass touch-sensitive control panel housing an integrated digital display. The interface is marked with a stylised manufacturer logo consisting of the letters W, M, and F stacked vertically, positioned alongside the word presto! in a script font. The control panel includes specific touch selections for Espresso, Black Coffee, White Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Milk Foam, and Milk, including double-shot options. To the top, a semi-transparent plastic bean hopper is present, bearing a silver oval adhesive label printed with the word Coffee. The machine is equipped with a chrome-finished adjustable dispensing spout and a clear milk suction tube for connection to an external supply. The unit is fitted between two white corrugated plastic side panels and is powered via a standard United Kingdom 3-pin plug. Condition report:
The machine is in used condition and shows significant accumulation of dust, smudges, and dried coffee residue across the exterior glass and chrome surfaces (photo 1). The bean hopper contains a quantity of old coffee beans and exhibits heavy brown oily residue buildup on the interior plastic walls (photo 3). The milk suction line appears discoloured from age and previous use (photo 1). The chrome-finished components show surface marking and residue. The unit is sold as seen and is untested for functional operation.
