Lot 854: A Trio of Vintage Light Wood Wave-Front Chests of Drawers
A trio of vintage light wood wave-front chests of drawers, each of modular construction for versatile arrangement. Each unit comprises four full-width drawers, featuring a distinctive undulating serpentine curve that creates a continuous horizontal wave pattern across the fronts. The pieces are finished in a light wood-effect veneer, likely maple or birch, over a composite wood substrate. The drawers are fitted with integrated, recessed oval handles carved into the upper edge of each drawer front in a matching finish. Internal drawer construction, including joinery such as dovetails, is not visible in the provided photographs as the drawers remain closed. The top surfaces are shaped to follow the wave profile of the frontage.
