Lot 867: A Vintage Upholstered Recliner Armchair
A vintage upholstered recliner armchair, featuring a high-back design with an integrated headrest and deep side bolsters for lumbar support. The chair is of an overstuffed construction with wide, heavily padded armrests and a segmented base indicating a reclining footrest mechanism. The upholstery consists of a beige textured fabric featuring a repeating zig-zag or chevron pattern. A white rectangular adhesive label is adhered to the upper surface of the right armrest, bearing the printed digits 8 6 7; smaller printed text above these digits is not legible. No further maker’s marks or manufacturer’s labels are visible.

Condition report:
The armchair is in poor to fair condition. There is significant and prominent yellow-brown discolouration and staining to the headrest and both armrests (photo 1). The fabric shows general soiling and signs of heavy wear throughout the seat and backrest (photo 1). The reclining mechanism has not been tested for functionality.
