Lot 898: A Pair of Vintage Dark Grey Laminate Two-Way Bass Ported Bookshelf Speakers
A pair of vintage dark grey laminate two-way bass ported bookshelf speakers, featuring rectangular cabinets with moulded plastic front baffles. Each speaker is fitted with a fixed black fabric grille and incorporates two side-firing bass ports integrated into the baffle design. The top front edge of each plastic baffle is printed with the text TWO – WAY BASS PORTED in a light grey sans-serif typeface. The cabinets are finished in a dark grey wood-effect laminate. A small white rectangular adhesive label is attached to the side of one speaker, bearing the printed number 898. Sections of red and black speaker wiring are visible extending from the rear of the units. No manufacturer brand name or model number is visible on the front or side surfaces of either unit.
Condition report:
The speakers exhibit signs of moderate use including surface dust and light scuffs to the laminate cabinets. A small hole is visible in the black fabric grille of one speaker. The grilles are otherwise intact, though the integrity of the drivers behind the fabric has not been verified. The speakers are sold as untested for functional status.
