Lot 909: A Collection of Five Vintage Character Soft Plush Toys including The Simpsons
A collection of five vintage character soft plush toys, featuring figures from The Simpsons animated series and seasonal commercial mascots. The group includes two depictions of Homer Simpson, one wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt printed with a nuclear cooling tower graphic and the text VISIT Springfield, and another in a maroon hooded sweatshirt with the text SPRINGFIELD U.S.A. and blue shorts. Marge Simpson is represented in her signature green strapless dress with a red bead necklace. The lot also includes an Aldi festive mascot, Kevin the Carrot, dressed in a formal blue tailcoat, a red and yellow striped waistcoat, and a white bow tie, alongside a traditional Christmas elf in a red and white striped outfit with black boots. Each figure is constructed from mixed synthetic textiles with soft fibre stuffing, and The Simpsons characters feature plastic-moulded eyes. A printed black tag on one figure reads MATT GROENING in block letters, and another features the stylized THE SIMPSONS logo. Several garments retain white fabric tags with the CE safety mark. One item bears a white card auction tag printed HCP Auctions South West Lot 909.
Condition report:
The toys appear to be in excellent, clean condition throughout. Most items retain their original card retail tags and show no visible signs of wear, staining, or repair (photo 1). All seams appear intact, and the plastic-moulded eyes remain free from scuffs or scratches (photo 2).
