Lot 961: An Antique Late Victorian Mahogany Bookcase / Shelving Unit
An antique late Victorian mahogany bookcase / shelving unit featuring two rectangular compartments divided by a central vertical partition. The carcass is constructed with mahogany primary timbers showing a dark-stained finish and a moulded vertical edge. The interior is lined with a lighter-toned secondary wood, likely pine, and utilised housed joints for the shelving. The piece appears to be a section from a larger cabinet or bookcase, showing a plain, open-fronted design. A printed white adhesive label is affixed to the side reading HCP Auctions South West Lot 961. A partial white handwritten label is also present, reading 108 followed by an illegible character.
