Lot 81: A Vintage Red Painted Steel Fuel Can and a Galvanised Bucket
A vintage red painted steel fuel can and a galvanised bucket. The fuel can is of a single-handle jerry can design, featuring a top-mounted handle and a cam-locking filler cap secured with a metal pin. The sides of the vessel are reinforced with embossed diagonal cross ribs and a central circular roundel. It retains a heavily weathered red painted finish over the steel body. The accompanying utility bucket is of traditional tapered form, constructed from galvanised steel with horizontal reinforcing ribs and a wire bail handle attached to integrated metal ears. Both items exhibit a heavy patina consistent with long-term storage or outdoor use. No legible manufacturer’s marks or stamps were identified during inspection.
