Lot 92: A Vintage Cast Iron Hand-Operated Pitcher Water Pump
A vintage cast iron hand-operated pitcher water pump of traditional utilitarian form. The main cylindrical body features an integral pouring spout and is surmounted by a long, curved lever-action handle attached to a central plunger rod. The pump is supported by a substantial circular mounting flange at the base, provided with three pre-drilled bolting points for securing to a well cover or stand. The exterior of the barrel is decorated with an embossed oval mark containing three stylized characters appearing to read H, I, and B. The internal mechanism includes a vertical iron rod accessible through the open top of the cylinder. The base retains a threaded inlet which currently holds a remnant of modern green garden hose attached with a black plastic hexagonal nut.
