Lot 105: A Scrolled Cast and Wrought Iron Three-Panel Fireplace Screen
A scrolled cast and wrought iron three-panel fireplace screen. The screen consists of a large central rectangular panel flanked by two smaller hinged side panels, all of which are constructed from dark-finished iron. The decorative scheme features dense openwork scrollwork incorporating C-scrolls, S-scrolls, and foliate motifs. The central panel is centred with a focal quatrefoil floral motif held within a nested rectangular frame. The entire unit is backed with a fine-gauge wire mesh to the interior face. No maker’s marks, signatures, or manufacturer labels are visible on the object.
