Lot 188: An Assortment of Glazed and Textured Ceramic Garden Planters
A collection of ceramic and glazed garden planters in various forms and finishes. The group includes a large cylindrical planter in brown glaze with cream-coloured bamboo relief decoration. A large bulbous cream ceramic planter features a textured surface and circular relief medallion motifs. Also included is a medium cylindrical planter with a high-gloss black glaze and a rounded profile. One white glazed planter is of fluted form with a scalloped rim and bears an applied relief-moulded pink rose with green foliage to one side. A medium tapered planter is finished in a matte grey stone-effect ceramic. Completing the assortment is a small cylindrical planter in a dark glaze with cream foliage motifs matching the larger brown example. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the exterior surfaces.
