Buyer's Premium:

This mid-20th century utility style travelling steamer trunk features a rectangular wooden core covered in a grey-blue textured finish, likely lacquered canvas or vulcanised fibre. The construction is reinforced with black-painted metal banding and secured with numerous metal rivets throughout. The front is equipped with a central circular brass-plated lock plate flanked by four draw-bolt latches, with two on each side. The back is fitted with three large metal hinges. The sides feature metal handle brackets with black leather handles. A circular embossed mark is present on the central lock face, but the text is not clearly legible due to surface wear. One side of the trunk bears the handwritten number 336 in blue marker and a small adhesive paper label marked with a red X.
