Lot 234: Reconstituted stone Toby jug style garden planter
A cast stone garden ornament fashioned as a traditional Toby jug. The piece depicts a seated male figure with a jovial expression, wearing an 18th-century style frock coat with button detail and a wide-brimmed tricorne hat. The figure is shown holding a tankard in his left hand and a long-stemmed clay pipe in his right. The crown of the hat is recessed to form a planting well. The material is a buff-coloured reconstituted stone with a coarse, granular texture. No maker marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the exterior surfaces.
