Lot 291: A Collection of Decorative and Kitchen Wares including a Unanic Metal Citrus Juicer
A collection of decorative and kitchen wares including a Unanic metal citrus juicer, a studio pottery bowl, a fluted glass vase, and a terracotta jug. The citrus juicer is of manual lever-press construction in polished metal, featuring a two-part hinged mechanism and a removable clear plastic strainer insert. The upper handle bears a printed mark consisting of a logo with four interlocking right-angled lines forming a square above the name U N A N I C. The large studio pottery ceramic bowl features a dark mottled grey and brown glaze to the interior with decorative concentric throwing rings. The unglazed base bears a hand-painted black mark consisting of a cross joined to a stylized cursive character, possibly an a or s; this mark is not legible as a specific maker’s name. The blue glass vase is of fluted cylindrical form with a frosted exterior finish. The terracotta jug is of traditional globular form with twin handles and a tapered neck, showing a natural unglazed finish.
