A trio of vintage Roberts and Grundig portable transistor radios, comprising two examples by the British manufacturer Roberts and one by the German manufacturer Grundig. The first radio is a Roberts R 9904 model, featuring a silver-toned plastic cabinet with a metallic-finish speaker grille and a black control panel with a large circular tuning knob. It is clearly marked with a printed label reading ROBERTS R 9904 3 Band Portable Radio. The second radio is a Roberts portable model finished in a textured red leatherette material, featuring a gold-toned woven metal speaker grille and top-mounted push-button controls. A silver-toned script badge on the front face reads Roberts. The third unit is a Grundig multi-band radio with wood-grain effect side panels and a large perforated metal speaker grille. A small metal badge to the upper right reads GRUNDIG, and the vertical slide-rule dial is labelled with bands for LW, MW, K/SW, and U/FM. The Grundig unit includes a black power cable fitted with a fused UK three-pin plug.
