A vintage Chinese carved wool rug featuring a traditional floral design. The rug is constructed with a dense wool pile, hand-sculpted to create a three-dimensional relief effect throughout the floral and foliate motifs. The palette comprises shades of rose pink, sage green, and blue-grey against a neutral beige ground. The composition features a central floral field surrounded by a wide ornamental border with scrolled leaf patterns. The rug is finished with a short, matching fringe to the ends. There are no manufacturer marks or labels present on the rug; a paper label visible at the lower edge of the frame (photo 1) belongs to an adjacent object and refers to glass safety standards.
