Lot 453: A Collection of Decorative Ceramic Wooden and Shell Owl and Animal Figurines
A collection of decorative ceramic, wooden, and shell owl and animal figurines, comprising approximately thirty items in varied styles and materials. The collection predominantly features owl-themed ornaments, including examples in glazed and unglazed earthenware, carved wood, and cast resin. Notable pieces include a large carved wooden owl and boot-shaped forms, alongside several hand-painted ceramic owls with varied plumage details. One ceramic owl features blue and white geometric patterning in a folk art style. The lot also includes other animal subjects such as a cat, a pig, a snail, a frog, and small birds. A decorative rectangular box entirely encrusted with small gastropod shells and a mushroom-shaped ornament with a red felt top are also present. Several items show evidence of marks or labels on their bases; however, these are not clearly legible. A cream-coloured ceramic owl in the centre of the crate bears an illegible white adhesive label.
