Lot 460: An Assortment of Domestic Glassware, Royal Commemorative Items, and Decorative Objects including Pyrex
An assortment of domestic glassware and decorative items. The collection includes a clear glass measuring jug with a light blue tint, featuring red printed measurement markings and red block capital letters reading PYREX. A circular marigold iridescent carnival glass bowl is included, featuring a fluted body and a scalloped rim. A square white presentation box is present, the lid printed with a gold-tone royal coat of arms above text reading IN CELEBRATION OF THE MARRIAGE OF H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES AND LADY DIANA SPENCER July 29th 1981. The lot also contains a clear glass flared vase with a scalloped rim and floral star patterns, and two clear glass bowls with pressed geometric and starburst patterns. A clear wine glass is included, etched with capacity markings reading 250ml, LINE, 175ml, and 125ml. Utility items comprise a large cylindrical clear glass storage jar with a heavily rusted metal collar and a small plain rectangular clear glass vase. Decorative pieces include a cylindrical container with a brown and tan woven wicker exterior and a rectangular block of wood with a charred Shou Sugi Ban style finish. A large cream-coloured stoneware bowl is located at the base of the box.
