A collection of vintage Royal Wedding commemorative newspapers and a reproduction map of Cornwall, comprising various British tabloid editions from July 1981 and a printed map after the seventeenth-century cartographer John Speed. The antiquarian-style map is a monochrome reproduction print on textured, parchment-style paper. It features a decorative cartouche titled CORNWALL and a circular cartouche inscribed Described by the travails of John Norden augmented and published by I. Speed. The map is decorated with the royal arms, heraldic shields, ships, sea monsters, and local landmarks such as THE HURLERS. The collection of newspapers focuses on the wedding of HRH The Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. Included are the Daily Express dated Thursday, July 30, 1981, with the front-page headline SEALED WITH A LOVING KISS, and two editions of The Sun, styled as Royal Sun, dated July 28 and July 30, 1981. These feature headlines such as AND THEN HE KISSED HER! and a multi-page supplement titled Born to be a Princess.
