Lot 592: Jersey Pottery Channel Islands Stoneware Bowl
A circular Jersey Pottery stoneware bowl of wide, shallow form. The interior surface is finished with a speckled, honey-coloured ochre glaze. The exterior features a broad, impressed decorative band consisting of repeating double concentric circles, highlighted with a darker brown glaze to provide contrast. The piece rests on a low, unglazed foot ring. The underside of the base bears a hand-painted mark in dark script reading Jersey Pottery C.I. followed by a small heart-shaped motif.
