A collection of world coins and associated metal smallwares, featuring a variety of copper, bronze, and cupro-nickel coinage from several international issuers. The numismatic portion includes examples from the United Kingdom, including a large-type fifty pence piece and a sixpence; a United States Washington quarter dollar; a South African one rand featuring a springbok; and a Japanese five yen coin with a square central perforation. The group also contains several cast Chinese cash coins with characteristic square central piercings. Accompanying the coinage are two East Asian brass horizontal bar padlocks, one featuring etched decorative motifs to the body. A small ornate white metal spoon is included, featuring a fiddle-and-shell motif handle; the reverse of the handle bears a clear impressed mark reading ALPACCA in a rectangular cartouche. The lot is completed by a small gold-coloured ring with a suspended shield-shaped charm.
