Lot 664: A Group of Decorative Objects including Miniature Clocks, Lacquerware, and Porcelain
A diverse group of decorative collectibles and accessories. The assortment features two miniature gold-tone clocks: a Gorham carriage clock with a vertically ribbed square case, the white dial marked with Roman numerals and printed with Gorham and Quartz; and an anniversary-style clock housed under a glass dome, the dial printed with Old Country and Quartz. The collection includes two jewellery boxes with a red and black marbled lacquer finish, equipped with decorative brass latches and hinges. One box features a fan-shaped glass window displaying an intricate Chinese cork carving of a landscape with pagodas. A separate circular wooden-framed cork carving depicts cranes amongst trees. Ceramic items include a porcelain creamer with a mint green ground, gilded highlights, and hand-painted floral sprays, and a porcelain egg-shaped trinket box decorated with a figure of a boy in traditional dress. Further items comprise a cobalt blue glass pyramid, a pink glass perfume bottle with a long faceted clear glass stopper, and a black lacquer egg-shaped container featuring bird and floral motifs.
