A collection of Churchill fine earthenware fruit pattern tableware, consisting of several teacups and saucers, dinner plates, a side plate, and a bowl. The pieces are finished in a cream glaze with scalloped rims and a thin dark red-brown border line. The central decoration consists of transfer-printed motifs of autumnal fruits, specifically apples and pears, on leafy branches. The underside of each item bears a black printed mark featuring a circular border containing the text ‘MICROWAVE & DISHWASHER SAFE . EST 1795’ around a lion’s head profile. Beside this is the name ‘CHURCHILL’ in block capitals above the designation ‘Fine Earthenware’.
