Lot 703: Seven Dutch Design Delft and Dutch-Style Blue and White Ceramics
Seven Dutch Design Delft and Dutch-style blue and white ceramics, including decorative plates, bowls, a vase, and a coaster set. The baluster-form vase features a flared rim and is hand-painted with a traditional windmill scene, landscape, and flying birds. Two earthenware bowls are present: one featuring a central floral motif with a geometric patterned interior rim, and another decorated in a blue willow transfer pattern depicting a landscape. The grouping contains three circular plates of varying sizes, each depicting Dutch coastal landscapes with windmills and sailing vessels within floral and geometric borders. A ceramic coaster stand contains six circular coasters, each decorated with windmill motifs. One plate bears a printed blue backstamp featuring a graphic of a traditional Dutch cap above the characters Dutch Design Delft, with the words Handmade Holland printed below. A smaller plate is inscribed Delft within the printed scene of a twin-spired church.
