Lot 819: A Mid-Century Teak Storage Bench / Blanket Chest
A Mid-Century teak storage bench / blanket chest, featuring a padded hinged seat and internal storage compartment. The chest is constructed with a medium-toned wood veneer, notably displayed in a decorative chevron pattern across the front panel. The rectangular lid opens on a full-length metal piano hinge to reveal a single storage space lined with light-toned wood veneer. The unit is supported by four short, tapered wooden legs characteristic of mid-20th-century design. The fixed seat is upholstered in a dark-ground floral fabric decorated with pink and white rose motifs. No maker’s marks or manufacturer labels were observed on the piece.
