Lot 852: A Contemporary Wood Dining Side Chair with Patterned Padded Seat
This dining side chair is constructed from a light-toned wood, showing characteristics consistent with beech or a similar hardwood, finished with a clear lacquer. The backrest features four slightly curved vertical slats set within a rectangular frame, where the outer rails extend to form the rear legs. The chair is fitted with a drop-in upholstered seat. The fabric is cream in colour and decorated with a repeating grid pattern of square panels, some of which feature stylised foliate and leaf motifs in a contrasting light brown tone. The front legs are square in section. No manufacturer’s marks, labels, or stamps are visible on the exterior of the chair.
