Lot 863: A Collection of Decorative and Household Items
A collection of decorative and household items, featuring a large circular silver-plated gallery tray. The tray is decorated with a pierced border and an embossed floral and scrollwork centre. Included in the lot is a glazed ceramic hen-on-nest tureen in a honey-coloured glaze with moulded feather detailing and a ceramic mortar with a turned wooden pestle. The group also contains an etched brass vase with a red and black enamelled finish featuring incised floral and wheat motifs, and a small wooden chest of three drawers decorated with nautical sailboat patterns and cursive text reading sail away with me. A yellow cased-glass vessel with a multi-coloured swirled base, a mosaic-tiled surface, and a patinated metal disc complete the collection.
