A late Victorian / early 20th century Jacobean revival carved oak coffer of rectangular form. The piece features a two-panel hinged lid opening to reveal an interior divided into two main storage compartments. The front facade is composed of four panels, each decorated with a central carved lozenge motif within a raised geometric frame. The vertical stiles are embellished with applied split-baluster pilasters, while the top rail displays a carved dentil-style border. The chest is constructed from solid oak with a dark-stained finish and stands on short block feet. No maker’s marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the item.
