A vintage 1920s Waring & Gillow Ltd oak chiming grandmother clock, featuring a mechanical triple-train movement. The quartersawn oak case displays prominent tiger grain figuring, particularly to the trunk panel and base. The hood is designed with a rounded arch top and is flanked by decorative barley-twist columns. The silvered dial features black Arabic numerals and ornate pierced metal hands. Centred on the dial is a printed black mark reading WARING & GILLOW LTD LONDON, while a selection lever at the top of the dial is flanked by the text SILENT and CHIME. The clock is constructed with three winding apertures for a triple-train movement, designed for timekeeping, hourly striking, and musical chiming.
