Lot 45: A Five Tread Folding Aluminium Step Ladder

A five tread folding aluminium step ladder, featuring a lightweight extruded frame and corrugated anti-slip treads. The ladder is constructed with a wide steel top platform secured by hinged brackets and features black plastic or rubberised protective caps at the hinge points and feet. A partially legible adhesive safety label is present on the interior of the right-hand rail near the top, although the printed text and manufacturer details are not clearly readable. The design incorporates a flared base for increased stability and a high safety rail above the top platform.
Condition report:
The ladder is in used, fair condition. It shows significant cosmetic evidence of domestic use, including widespread white paint splatters and surface grime across the rails and steps (photos 1 and 2). The top platform exhibits numerous dark stains and surface scratches consistent with use as a work surface. The structural rails appear straight; however, the operational locking mechanism and overall stability under load have not been tested.
