A collection of heavily weathered utility vessels, comprising a handled jug and three graduated buckets or containers. The vessels are constructed from thick-gauge galvanised steel or iron, featuring rolled rims and seamed bodies typical of industrial or agricultural utility hardware. The jug is fitted with a simple strap handle secured with rivets. The interior of the buckets contains thick, crusty deposits of unidentified mineral or organic residue. A hand-written paper tag is attached to the jug’s handle with an adhesive label, bearing the handwritten text 3 x Buck + JUG above a horizontal line and the digit 9. A smaller white adhesive label is affixed to the tag, reading Lot 053. No original manufacturer marks or stamps are legible due to the extensive surface oxidation.


Condition report:

The lot exhibits severe all-over surface oxidation and deep pitting across all vessels. The jug has significant structural loss to the rim, which appears jagged and rusted away in several sections (photo 2). All items show visible dents and deformations to the bodies. The bucket interiors are heavily fouled with thick, crusty residue (photo 3). Structural integrity is compromised by advanced corrosion, particularly around the rims and handle attachments.
