Lot 558: A Large Clear Glass Vessel and a Mid-Century Modern Ruby Red Glass Vase
Not sold
A mid-20th century two-piece collection of glassware. The first piece is a large, blown clear glass vessel of bulbous form, featuring a rounded body that tapers to a short neck with a wide, flared rim. The lower portion of the body is decorated with a series of horizontal concentric ring moldings, and the base shows a slight green tint at its thickest point. The second piece is a Mid-Century Modern bud vase crafted from deep opaque ruby red glass. The form consists of a tall, slender neck that tapers down to a weighted conical flared base with a slightly flared rim. A white rectangular adhesive label is attached to the body of the clear vessel, printed with the text HCP Auctions South West and Lot 558. The red vase has a small white rectangular tag attached by a string around the neck with illegible handwriting, and a length of beige ribbon is tied around the neck. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
