A collection of octagonal-form earthenware table wares in the Eternal Beau pattern, designed by Sarina Mascheroni for Johnson Brothers. The set is decorated with a transfer-printed motif of trailing pink flowers and buds entwined with a pale peach ribbon, finished with a fine green line border and molded beading to the rims. The collection comprises various service pieces including dinner plates, side plates, bowls, teacups with angular geometric handles, saucers, creamers, a gravy boat, salt and pepper shakers, a covered preserve jar, and a wall clock. The underside of the pieces features various printed backstamps including a circular mark reading JOHNSON BROS, ENGLAND 1883, DISHWASHER, FREEZER AND MICROWAVE SAFE; an oval mark featuring a crown and bull device reading JOHNSON BROTHERS, MADE IN ENGLAND, DISHWASHER AND MICROWAVE SAFE; and a central mark reading JOHNSON BROTHERS, MADE IN ENGLAND, ETERNAL BEAU, A SARINA MASCHERONI DESIGN. The wall clock features a matching octagonal ceramic face with Roman numerals and a quartz movement.
