Lot 938: Two Porcelain and Cloth Decorative Dolls
Not sold
Two decorative dolls featuring distinct construction styles, comprising one porcelain-headed doll and one cloth-bodied doll. The porcelain doll is designed in a Victorian-style aesthetic with a bisque head and hands attached to a soft, stuffed body. It features fixed blue acrylic eyes with painted lashes and a blonde synthetic wig styled in curls. The doll is dressed in a pink satin and white lace tiered gown with a matching oversized lace-trimmed bonnet and white tights. The second doll is a rag doll constructed from textile materials, featuring a printed face with black eyes and brown yarn hair. This cloth doll is dressed in a country-style ensemble including an orange and white floral sunbonnet, a matching floral-print pinafore dress over a white blouse, and white bloomers. Both dolls appear to retain their original costumes. A small white adhesive label is present on the cloth doll’s bonnet, but the characters are not legible as a maker’s name.
