A mid-20th century Union Jack flag of printed construction on a lightweight, semi-transparent woven fabric, likely cotton or a linen-cotton blend. The flag follows the post-1801 design, incorporating the crosses of Saint George, Saint Andrew, and Saint Patrick. It features printed colours that show through to the reverse, typical of mass-produced flags of this period. A white fabric hoist sleeve is present at the left edge for attachment to a flagpole. A small blue ink stamp is located on the white field of the lower right-hand quadrant, which reads literally as “BRITISH MADE” in capital letters. The fabric displays a visible open weave and is finished with machine-stitched hems to the edges.
