A vintage galvanised metal wheelbarrow of utilitarian construction, featuring a single front wheel and twin handles. The rectangular steel pan is formed with outward-sloping walls and a rolled rim for structural rigidity. It is mounted upon a tubular metal frame which extends to form the long handles, terminating in traces of green plastic or paint coating, and the lower supports for the wheel axle. The wheel is comprised of a solid metal rim, finished in red paint, fitted with a solid black rubber tyre. The underside shows two integral U-shaped tubular supports for stationary balance. While an adhesive lot number label is present on the front lip, no manufacturer’s marks or brand names are legible on the body of the item.
