A silver-plated teapot from the Late Victorian period featuring a lobed melon form body. The piece is of four-footed construction, supported by cast foliate scroll feet. The hinged lid is surmounted by a cast finial designed as a cluster of leaves and berries. The body is decorated with chased floral and foliate scrollwork within each of the lobed panels. The handle is of swept scroll design with decorative bands, and the spout is of matching foliate form. The base metal is exposed in several areas, appearing as a dull grey and yellow metal beneath the silver layer. There are several stamps on the underside of the base, appearing as four rectangular cartouches in a row, but the individual characters or symbols within them are not legible as a name or specific manufacturer.
