A pair of vintage mead liqueur miniatures from the Cornish Mead Co. Ltd, Penzance. Each bottle is designed as a traditional two-tone stoneware flagon, featuring a dark brown glazed shoulder and neck above a cream-coloured unglazed ceramic body. The bodies are printed with black text reading THE HONEYMOON DRINK, Ye Olde Liqueur Mead, CORNISH MEAD CO. LTD., PENZANCE, CORNWALL, NOT LESS THAN 30 PER CENT PROOF SPIRIT. One flagon retains its original red wax-dipped seal over the neck, while the other is closed with a natural cork and lacks the outer wax covering. As the ceramic bodies are opaque, the internal fill levels cannot be visually verified, though some evaporation is likely given the age and closure types.
