A pair of transfer-printed ceramic lidded tureens of oval, deep-bodied form. Each vessel is constructed from earthenware or ironstone with a white glazed surface, featuring two integrated loop handles. The eared lids are fitted with conical finials and individual steam vent holes. The decoration consists of a delicate transfer-printed floral pattern featuring sprigs of blue bell-shaped flowers, possibly harebells or bluebells, interspersed with light green foliage. Further embellishment is provided by hand-applied gilded bands to the rims, handles, and finials. While the bases are not visible, the exterior surfaces show no readable maker’s marks or signatures.
