A vintage carved wooden rocking horse finished in a traditional dapple grey colour scheme. The horse features a relatively flat profile with carved muscular definition to the legs and is mounted on a dark-stained safety swing stand mechanism with iron swing irons. The horse retains its original natural horsehair mane and tail, and is fitted with a leather bridle and reins. Red decorative ribbons are tied into the mane. The stand features an incised rectangular mark on the top of the central plank, although the characters within the border are worn and are not currently legible as a name or manufacturer.
