Lot 937: A Mid-Century Light Oak Haberdashery Shop Display Cabinet
A vintage light oak haberdashery shop display cabinet from the mid-20th century, typically utilised in a retail environment for the storage and presentation of soft goods. The unit is constructed as a single-piece cabinet featuring eighteen individual drawers arranged in a three-column by six-row configuration. Each drawer is fitted with a glass-fronted ‘scoop’ style face, integrated wooden finger-pulls, and internal glass partitions that create a front-facing display section separate from the rear storage area. The cabinet is finished in a light-toned wood, possibly oak or beech, with a plywood top. The interior of one drawer base bears a handwritten pencil mark reading ‘AD’. A small white adhesive label is present on the upper left corner of the frame. The cabinet currently contains an assortment of plush toys, including items with fabric labels reading ‘Disney CLASSICS’ and ‘ZURU Coco cones’, though these are likely later additions.
Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
