Lot 166: Two Cast Concrete Garden Ornaments of a Swan and a Frog
Two cast concrete garden ornaments, comprising a statue of a sleeping swan and a large crouching frog. The swan is naturalistically modelled in a resting pose with its neck tucked back and beak resting against its plumage, mounted upon an oval base with a textured ground-mimicking surface. It features a light-coloured weathered finish with subtle traces of pale orange pigment applied to the beak and webbed feet. The second item is a large-scale decorative frog with a stylised form, finished with a verdigris-effect turquoise-blue patination over a grey concrete body. Both pieces are substantial in scale and suitable for outdoor display as focal points. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either ornament.
Large-scale garden items; exact dimensions are not provided.
