Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £3

Estimated price: £3 - £5

Buyer's Premium: 20%

Two Rococo-Revival ornate wall mirrors of varied form and finish. The first is a late 19th-century / early 20th-century rectangular mirror featuring a heavy giltwood and gesso frame. The frame is deeply moulded with traditional Rococo motifs including scrolling acanthus leaves, prominent C-scrolls, and floral blossoms. The second item is a 20th-century shaped wall mirror with an asymmetrical foliate cresting top. This frame, constructed from wood or composite material, has been finished in a modern matte bright pink / magenta overpaint. Both mirrors are designed for wall mounting and demonstrate the elaborate scrolled aesthetic of the Louis XV fashion. An adhesive white rectangular auction label is present on the right edge of the gilt mirror, reading HCP Auctions South West and Lot 968.

Large-scale furniture items; exact dimensions are not provided.
