Lot 101: A Large Red Synthetic Marine Buoy or Fender
A large teardrop-shaped marine buoy or fender constructed from a durable synthetic material. The body is finished in a bright red colour and features a reinforced dark-toned attachment eyelet at the narrow end. A length of blue synthetic rope is looped through the eyelet. There are no discernible maker’s marks, characters, or inscriptions visible on the body or base of the object.
Condition report:
The piece shows signs of industrial use consistent with its purpose, including surface scuffing, minor marks, and wear to the finish particularly concentrated around the attachment point.
