Lot 146: A large glazed earthenware garden planter with blue geometric decoration
A large glazed earthenware or stoneware garden planter of tapered circular form. The vessel features a broad, flat rim and a buff-coloured body. It is decorated with a wide median band of hand-painted blue geometric chevron and trellis-style patterning. The planter contains a live Blue Star Fern (Phlebodium aureum) and other incidental greenery within the soil. No maker’s marks or factory stamps are visible on the exterior or interior of the pot; the base has not been inspected.
