Lot 178: A Large Cobalt Blue Glazed Earthenware Garden Planter and Three Pot Feet
A large glazed earthenware garden planter of bell-form, finished in a cobalt blue glaze. The exterior body features molded, raised scroll or petal-like decorative motifs. The planter is designed with a wide, flared unglazed rim and contains two drainage holes in the base. It is accompanied by three separate glazed ceramic pot feet, each of a ball-and-plinth design. This style of glazed garden pottery is characteristic of decorative garden ware found in the United Kingdom during the late 20th century. No manufacturer marks are present.

Condition report:
The item is in a weathered condition consistent with outdoor use. The interior shows significant mineral deposits and green algae growth. There are minor chips and glaze losses to the exterior blue surface and the pot feet. The unglazed rim shows general wear and surface staining.
