Lot 301: A 12-bottle wooden and galvanised metal wine rack
A traditional utilitarian wine rack designed with a twelve-bottle capacity in a three-by-four grid arrangement. The construction comprises rectangular wooden batons, likely pine, which are notched and held within a criss-cross framework of galvanised metal straps. This modular industrial style is characteristic of twentieth-century and contemporary British manufacture. There are no visible maker marks, stamps, or labels on the framework or timber.
Condition report:
The rack is in used condition. The timber shows natural variations in colour and some minor surface scuffing. The metal lattice has a dull, matte patina consistent with aged galvanised steel. Light surface dust and wear from storage are present.
